We would like to thank the Baptismal Catechesis Team for initiating the Baptismal Catechesis Programme in our Parish, which has been an eye-opener to us as to-be parents.

Normally on birth of a baby, parents don't see and understand the value of actually creating an atmosphere for bringing up their new born in Christian faith, what each one of them understands is that as a ritual, one has to go through the Christening ceremony for getting their baby into Christianity.  We could reason this out as an outcome of the fast pace of life that we are in, where reasoning things and finding out the value takes a back seat, at least for ceremonies that we are required to perform as our forefathers did.

The sessions have been really informative and have changed the view with which we would generally otherwise bring up our child.  Prior to attending the sessions, we never understood the value of bringing up our child in the Christian faith, just like others we would have been ignorant to these aspects.
